Rufino Silva, an ophthalmologist at the Coimbra Hospital and University Centre (CHUC), was one of the speakers at two sessions included in the program of the 66th edition of the Portuguese Ophthalmological Society (SPO) Congress. In the session "Towards a new era in the treatment of geographic atrophy", the specialist spoke about two drugs that have already been approved exclusively in the United States for this condition. At the round table "Defending Ophthalmology, a shared experience", Rufino Silva listed the challenges that the specialty currently faces in our country.
